Master of Education in Adult Learning and Development
The Adult Learning and Development (ALD) program is an innovative graduate program available entirely online that advances practical knowledge and skills concerning working with adult learners in various contexts. Students in the ALD program achieve their career goals through a broad curriculum of study which includes education, learning and development theories, teaching strategies, and program planning and evaluation models. Through selecting applicable elective courses, students can tailor their academic programs of study to their individual educational and career interests and goals. ALD graduates work as trainers, managers, directors, professors and consultants in a wide variety of settings, both locally and nationally, including healthcare, human resources, training and development, higher education, nonprofit organizations, corrections, and student services. Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with Talented and Gifted Learner License
The Gifted and Talented Program is right for many educators including counselors, teachers in self-contained gifted or inclusive classrooms, administrators, and any individual hoping to play a leadership role in the education of gifted and talented learners. This program offers licensed teachers a gifted intervention specialist licensure or a master degree in Curriculum & Foundations with an emphasis on gifted education. Master of Education with a Specialization in Organizational Leadership
The Master of Education with a Specialization in Organizational Leadership is an interdisciplinary program drawing from the Colleges of Business, Science, Urban Affairs, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Education and Human Services. Graduates of this program will be able to make executive decisions as school leaders having learned best leadership practices from other fields. Key areas explored in the program are management and organizational behavior, community and international relations, ethics, local history, school law, school safety, conflict management, and public relations in a school setting.
